"I've asked the committee to put Pacquiao at number 1, so that he is fighting for the title of Cotto," said Francisco "Paco" Valcarcel, president of the WBO, in an interview with Primera Hora.
"We discussed the matter with Bob Arum (promoter of Cotto) and he agreed to be a tite fight," he added.
I know Arum must have something to do with this attempt to make The Pac Man the greatest modern fighter ever. It is quite unfair to push Manny to the head of the queue simply to increase the granduer of the fight.
On another note the fight is almost finalised with a 145 pound weight limit having been agreed upon, Cotto's WBO belt appears to be a sticking point though.
